Kyle’s Bus

Sometimes he wondered why the bus was such an ugly color. He could change the color if he wanted, but either laziness or lack of funds got in the way. The color was also a reminder. It was the color his wife chose for his campaign bus when he was running for president all those years ago. Those were the days of glory, the days of passion, the days of fame. Those were the days he was never alone. But, alas, he had outlived his only friends and family and his political fame had been washed away. He couldn’t even drive the bus, that was Gabe’s job. He couldn’t sell the bus. The bus had no value anymore. Kyle sadly walked back into his empty mansion, hoping that somewhere in the house was a bottle of malt liquor.
